Time Management In Your Home Business

One of the most valuable resources in your online home business is time. We each get the same amount of time each day, but it's what we do with that time that is so very important. You can spend that time on frivolous tasks and whittle away the hours or, focus your time and energy on tasks that will grow your business and bring you closer to your goals. Especially working from home, it's too easy to be lazy and waste your time.

Now something that I have just started applying recently and that has worked wonders for me is 8 x 5 Systems Cards. I saw this tip in a forum awhile ago (can't remember who that was to give them credit) but basically you write down everything that needs to be done on these cards. So simple and yet so powerful. This is easier and more immediate to be able to write things down as they occur to you rather than typing things into your computer.

So how do we work this? Well basically, whatever your goals or special projects are, you write down this goal/project at the very top of the card. This is the Big Picture. Then you chunk this down into detailed tasks and place a small checkbox beside each task. Then all you have to do is get to work, complete each of the detailed tasks on the list and tick each item as it's completed. Once you have completed all the tasks, the puzzle is finished and your goal (big picture) has been achieved automatically.

Now, you may be wondering, what's so special about this? The point is that this is so dead easy and yet if you actually do it there is so much clarity about what has to be done, how it is to be done and your target remains in your sights the whole time.

Ok, so what if you have many projects on the go or some big projects to complete? My recommendation is to allocate a certain amount of time each day, whether that's 8 hours, 4 hours or whatever, that will be up to you to decide. Then break that down into one hour chunks and no matter what, just do that one hour of work on that project and then move onto the next project and do one hour on that, and so on. You will be amazed at how much work you get done and after a few days you will look back and marvel at the number of projects you have completed.

I have a number of different cards for different things. I have a separate card for each project or goal that I want to complete; a card for article topics that I keep with me at all times so that any ideas that occur to me, I can write it down immediately; a card with my marketing plan on it; and a separate card for each day of the week. Each day will have routine tasks that are performed every day such as, check emails and reply to any queries, forum time, traffic exchanges, checking stats, blogging and project/goals. Make sure that you allocate a certain amount of time for each item and tick them off as you complete so that you are accountable.

And then you will have certain tasks that are completed, say once a week. Such as, write and submit an article, check all your links are active, check your subscriber lists, and research, (example for adwords or adsense). Note - just make sure that it is research and not aimless surfing. You can allocate each of these tasks to a different day of the week on the daily cards. Finally, there will be tasks that are done on a monthly basis such as, submitting your link to the directories, tweaking web pages or sales copy, and planning your time? have these on a separate card and tick off and date each item as it is completed.

The last card that I have is an ideas list. Any ideas that I have at any time, I write it down straight away, no matter how crazy or stupid the idea sounds. This card (and the other cards) has the effect of actually freeing up my mind and my time so that whatever I'm doing in that hour, I can focus 100% in the moment and stop worrying about other things that have to be done. I'm more effective and less stressed than ever before.

Now, it seems like a lot of work to set-up these cards but once you do, and get into the routine of using them, it's actually far less work than not using them. The added bonus is that you are more effective in your home business and get a lot more completed and achieved. As with everything, consistency is the name of the game.

Florida Housing Market: Optimistic Perspectives Of Local Homeowners

A recent survey reveals that 58 % of home owners across Florida place positive views regarding the continual rise of the value of their homes over the subsequent 12 months. The general perspective holds regardless of indications that the five-year boom in the Florida housing market is declining. This online survey, which is conducted every year by Florida-based Attorneys? Title Insurance Fund?s Consumer Education Campaign, samples a poll of more than a thousand home owners throughout the state within the period of May 30 to June 6, 2006. The survey focused on dynamic Florida housing markets such as Broward, Miami-Dade County, Tampa, Sarasota County, Fort Myers-Naples, West Palm Beach, and Orlando. The respondents are aged 18 and above. The survey puts forward that home owners have been vigilant about the condition of the Florida housing market, in spite of the fact that affordability remains to be the major obstacle to purchasing a home (71 % of respondents? opinions). Homeowners in Miami-Dade and Fort Myers-Naples are even more likely to say that ?affordability? is a considerable purchasing obstacle (both 83 %). With nearly a 30 % rise from 2005 figures, Tampa witnesses the biggest increase in percent citing ?affordability? as the primary obstacle to home ownership compared to other areas in Florida.

The interesting facet of the result reveals that the views of home owners across Florida are split about whether the year 2006 is a good or bad time to purchase Florida real estate (amounting to 42 % for both views). However, by examining samples for select regions such as Sarasota County (53 %), West Palm Beach (49 %), and Orlando (43 %), statistics reveal a slightly higher chance to believe that now is a good time to buy a home as compared to regions like Tampa (42 %), Broward County (39 %), and Miami-Dade (34 %).

Nonetheless, hurricanes still linger within the minds of home owners. Nearly half of all respondents (47 %) said that they have apprehensions about being hit by a storm. Another 16 % of the respondents mention the impact of a housing bubble as their biggest worry, and even fewer cite escalating mortgage interest rates (13 %), devaluating home prices (5 %), or becoming the victim of real estate scam (1 %) as their biggest real estate anxiety in Florida. What is surprising about these figures is that Florida home owners do not rank high in terms of the concern of being the victim of real estate fraud, especially for the fact that Florida was recently branded as the top state across the nation with regards to prevalence of mortgage frauds.

The survey also reveals that the most confusing part of purchasing a property in the Florida housing market is the understanding real estate laws, which is evident in 41 % of the respondents citing such. In point of fact, about a third of Florida home owners found that understanding Florida real estate law is extremely confusing. Other aspects in the process of buying Florida real estate that are considered confusing includes understanding settlement/closing process with 24 % of the respondents saying that it is extremely confusing.

About half of home owners of Florida (48 %) have consulted with a real estate attorney in the past. This aspect of the survey shows that residents in South Florida consult real estate attorneys more frequently compared to residents in other parts of the state. For instance, 67 % of residents in Miami-Dade County, 61 % in Broward and 60 % of residents in West Palm Beach cite that they have been consulting with real estate attorneys, whereas only 37 % of residents in Tampa and 44 % in Orlando have done so.

Does The ABC Bartending School Work For You

Are you thinking about becoming a bartender? Looking for a bartending school? Then there are a few things you need to know before pursuing a career as a bartender. Many of us might think that the job is a walk in the park. Well, I am here to say - Think again.

Becoming a bartender is no small feat. You have to posses a few qualities that frankly many of us don't really have. Or at least I can say don't really utilize very effectively. As a bartender you have to be attentive, even in the face of chaos. You must be organized, knowing where things are and having access to them at a given notice. You have to be able to think quick on your feet, another words make quick decisions. We may think we posses these qualities, but in this environment you must have those qualities ready available. And you must be able to turn them on and put them into overdrive, which many of us don't want to do.

Almost for every party you can normally find loads of drinks being served. These drinks come in all sizes, colors and potency. They can be the alcoholic variety and the non alcoholic type. For the non boozer type of drink all that you need to do is just serve the drinks as the guests like. For the alcohol-dependent drinks you must know something about these drinks or you should get a pro bartender. This is one of those trades that you may have a hard time BSing your way through it. It's simple you can either mix a drink or you can't. A school that has a good reputation and is fairly well know is the ABC Bartending School. Now before you go rush off and sign up do your research and make an educated decision on what school is right for you.

This school teaches a wide range of diversified people how to be top class bartenders in real life situations. There are many new classes that are being instructed at the ABC Bartending School every week. At all of these classes, students are granted pragmatic lessons in bartending and mixing drinks. Another words, they are taught from a real live perspective, not a lot of theory. The students learn the fine art of bartending behind a bar. Here they are faced with all of the implements that a bartender needs. This is important to know, because not all bartending schools offer such intense hands on training. Again, find out the facts before making a commitment.

As they advance through the courses the students of the ABC Bartending School are instructed the diverse aspects of being a bartender. Let's face it, to be good it takes more than just serving a good drink. It takes character and personality just to name a few other qualifications it takes to be a good bartender. They learn how to blend assorted types of alcoholic beverages and the correct names that many of these drinks are known as. They are conditioned to serving a multiple number of customers at the same time without getting the orders mixed up or all wrong. And as some of you may know, you could be tasked with remembering multiple orders. This is no small feat even for someone who has a sponge for a memory.

In addition the students are shown how to make and serve all of these drinks at a quick pace. What is a good bartender without speed. This is very important in a bar as well as at a party. Just for the simple fact, if there is a deficiency of quick servicing the customers will leave. And guess what? You will be dealing with the upset of your boss. This also teaches the beginner bartender the artistic production of being able to care for high pressure situations with a tranquil position and a upbeat demeanor. Bottom line it takes class, style, patiences and an excellent attitude.

While learning how to make and serve drinks the students of the ABC Bartending School also pick up on how to be a creditworthy bartender. This means knowing the safe guidelines for serving drinks to the various customers. As this is now a necessity in many states in the US. The students have the jump in this business because of their high caliber training system. This of course, is according to the ABC Bartending School information.

There are many other aspects to bartending that the ABC Bartending School teaches to all of its students. This is what makes them higher-ranking bartenders. Also, why they are able to find good paying jobs in diverse parts of the entertainment and hospitality trade with less trouble. The ABC Bartending School is know to speak the facts about what it takes to be an excellent bartender. It is these facts that make sure that its students can get great jobs because they have the hands on experience of bartending. When searching for a bartender school of choice get the facts. Martial Arts Book Review: Violence Blunders and Broken Jaws by Marc Animal MacYoung

Being the author of several books on the martial arts and fighting, I am always looking for books of exceptional quality to add to my library. If I have a book in my library, it's definitely worth owning. One such book is Marc ?Animal? Mac Young?s, Violence, Blunders, and Fractured Jaws.

Once again, Marc gives you a no-holds barred look at the reality of fighting and surviving on the street. This book focuses on the subject of awareness and street etiquette, rather than actual physical techniques. This book is far more important to learn and practice than any of the actual physical techniques that Marc teaches in any of his books. I highly recommend that you purchase this book and read it numerous times before buying any other of Marc?s books, and before practicing any of the techniques included in any of his many books. I promise you that if you do this, you will be farther ahead of the game than someone not doing the same thing.

Introduction:

a.The following 9 rules are what the author has compiled through his own personal experiences that apply to surviving on the streets. The author gives a much more detailed explanation of each of the nine rules in this section.

1.Life is predatory.
2.Human life is cheap.
3.You fight to win.
4.Civilized boundaries don?t exist.
5.If you want it, and you can get away with it, take it.
6.Altruism and charity don?t exist, betrayal and backstabbing do.
7.Jail is nothing more than a pain in the ass.
8.They are scum.
9.They feel that the world owes them something.

b.Awareness is the key to self-defense and therefore survival.

How Operating Systems Work:

The author does a pretty good job of getting his point across using the game of basketball as an analogy for his example of operating in and out of a predetermined operating system.

a.FBI Uniform Crime Reporting Statistics.

Here the author gives you a brief breakdown on what the UCR is, and what it tells you. He also tells you what is perhaps more important, and that is what the UCR doesn?t tell you.

b.The Reality of Dragons.

This is a very interesting section that uses dragons as a metaphor for trouble. I was especially fond of the story involving the movie crew at the cemetery. It sure lends credence to the old saying, ?GOD looks out for children, drunks, and fools.?

c.Awareness and Hyperawareness.

This sections discusses the development of awareness of your surroundings and the environment your in. It also briefly talks about hyperawareness which is something that although obtainable, takes a lot of time and hard work to obtain and can be extremely taxing on the individual.

d.Utilizing your own personal radar.

This can best be described as your own personal early warning system. Kind of like a pre-awareness state, this will help you to avoid ?burning out? from being at a constant state of awareness.

e.Logic.

Marc has shall we say a unique way at looking at logic, and one I am not going to despoil by telling you about it here. You?ll just have to get the book and read about it. It along with the rest of the book is well worth it.

f.Learn the Ins and Outs of the system.

Keep your mouth shut and your eyes, ears, and more importantly your mind open and learn what there is to know about the system and you will be much farther ahead of the game.

Cultural Operating Systems:

a.Various cultures and religions.

This section I found to be very relevant not only to a self-defense situation, but more importantly to the human race as a whole. Surprising insight that would serve our leaders very well is they actually used it. Like the old biblical saying, ?Before you judge someone, stand in their shoes.?

Family-Group Operating Systems:

a.This section tells you what to look for, and how to blend into, the environment utilizing the following 13 things.

1.Language
2.Level of Awareness
3.Similar Ideas
4.Similar Toughness
5.Intelligence
6.Food and Eating Habits
7.Nonverbal and Other Body Language
8.Sexual Roles and Interaction
9.Age Status
10.Etiquette
11.Local Talents and Jobs
12.Similar Belief System
13.Similar Energy

b.4 violence prone groups.

1.The Young
2.Warrior Societies
3.Drug Dealers
4.Police Officers

Personal Operating Systems:

a.4 bases of violence.

1.Fear
2.Frenzy
3.Tantrum
4.Criminal

b.Nonviolent types.

In this section, part of what Marc goes into is the differences between violent and nonviolent types of people and what usually results when and if the nonviolent person finally is faced with the prospect of being confronted with and possibly using violence.

Welcome to Boomtown:

This is a very in-depth section on developing a surviving mind-set to be used when you are not in your familiar operating system.

a.Awareness of your surroundings and what is going on around you.

Do I need to say more? I don?t, but Marc does and you should really pay attention to what he says and how he says it. Read and learn!

b.What You Say

This particular section is one that brings up the topic of what can and usually is your greatest enemy, your mouth and what comes out of it. Words can be a great comfort or a catalyst to great violence.

c.CYA

Cover Your Ass! Have truer words ever been spoken. If you don?t look out for you, don?t count on anyone else doing it.

Etiquette Basics:

This section goes over not only the etiquette that should be basic to every one of us, but also the etiquette that is indignant to certain geographical locations, ethnic and religious groups, etc. Another term for this could be called, in my opinion, respect.

Names, Reps, and Handles:

Nicknames:

1.Earned Nicknames
2.Self-Assigned Nicknames
3.Assigned Nicknames

Reputations:

This can and usually ends up being a double-edged sword.

Tacking, Scarring, and Piercing:

1.Tattooing:

Marc goes into some brief history and street etiquette concerning tattoos and their use and sometimes misuse. Although tattoos have taken on a whole other meaning in the past several years, with everyone from pre-teens to grandmothers lining up at the local shops.

2.Scarring and Piercing:

Marc gives you a real brief overview on both of these topics.

Gambling:

Marc gives you a terrific overview of the do?s and don?ts of gambling and the people that are around that kind of activity. On a personal note, I am a firm believer in never gambling. It usually leads to too much trouble of one kind or another.

Turf, Territory, and Hoods:

a.Personal Space.

One of the many items discussed in this section is the personal space you feel you need in order to be comfortable. This is generally considered to be 2 to 4 feet. With less than 2 feet reserved for family, lovers, and very close friends.

b.Rural vs. Urban reactions.

Depending on the situation and the location where you are at, an individual?s reaction may be radically different from another.

c.Defending your personal space.

Various methods of defending your personal space once it has been broached are discussed in fairly good detail and with some excellent examples.

Magick, Religion, and Juju:

a.Doesn?t matter if you believe it, because they do.

Marc really gives the reader a much needed lesson on learning to respect someone else?s beliefs even if you don?t adhere to those same beliefs. This can go along way in saving your bacon when dealing with certain types of individuals.

Eye Contact:

This section like the other sections in this book is very well done. The information provided on eye contact and other nonverbal signals is very enlightening and very useful in any day-to-day situation, not just in self-defense.

Women:

This section is so very important for every man to read, and to follow the advice given in it. Women can be a boon to a man's existence, or they can be a bane. Both possibilities are very real and you had better choose your woman with great care.

Untouchables:

This is generally described as a group or certain types of individuals who are considered to be untouchable by the main stream of society because of the services that they provide for everyone in that society.

Awareness Building Techniques:

Marc goes over several different methods for building and practicing your own personal awareness. As Marc so often states, ?Awareness is the key to survival.?

This book is perhaps the first book you should purchase on the subject of self-defense. In as such, that the value of principles behind the execution of the technique is far more valuable than the actual technique itself.

Bad Ink Recognizing When It's Time For Laser Tattoo Removal

Ahh the joys of youth. Rebelliousness and anti-authority impulses. Edgy friends and edgy garage and hip hop music. Late nights. New found freedoms of expression. No wonder that tattoos caught on with kids, athletes, musicians and artists, businessmen and even your local book-organizing prim librarian. Why not show that you're unique, that quiet smug knowledge that you're-still-you and not entirely the Company Man?

It seems that around 25,000 people receiving laser tattoo removal treatments each year have concluded that my tattoo just doesn't look right anymore...it's not me. Art, ego or simply a pragmatic understanding that people-in-careers need to project a clean professional look?

What's Involved In Laser Tattoo Removal? Unlike getting your tattoo, which may have taken minutes or an hour, removing tattoos is more involved. Why? Because, your artwork is not clinging to your skin surface like a band aid, rather is imbedded deeper within the sub-dermal tissues. With laser tattoo removal, you'll undergo a series of treatments, each spaced 1 to 2 months apart in order to allow your skin rejuvenation to occur. Your total treatment period may be 6 to 12 months in order to achieve the sort of skin resurfacing results you're aiming for.

What Are The Obstacles Blocking Your Results? It's in the nature of a tattoo to be permanent. It's no wonder that permanent artwork may take some serious treatment before it yields.

* Color Of Tattoo Inks - Light Colors Stay On. Laser tattoo removal succeeds best when applied to red and black colors. Once you add lighter colors into a tattoo design, then not even a laser can truly treat these skin areas with success, due to the fact that these color do not absorb the laser. For example, white colors actually turn black when laser treated.

Result? These lighter colors merely fade or convert into a smudge rather than disappear.

* Better Tattoo Artists Create Technical Hurdles To Laser Removal. When you were impulsive, the idea of getting a tattoo from a virtuoso tattoo artist would be the crowing touch to what may now be considered one of the dumbest decisions I ever made. When it comes time for laser tattoo removal of a highly artistic and intricate design, then the artist usually wins over the machine. Meaning? Some areas of your tattoo remain impervious to laser removal therapy.

* Ink Chemistry - Whether FDA Sanctioned or Not. Inks are not simply inks. While the FDA does supervise the class of ink chemistry applied to tattoos, this doesn't mean that the local screwball tattoo shop might not see the opportunity to make more money by substituting the class of printer inks. These dangerous inks set into a tattoo that in many cases will not respond to laser light treatment. Reason? These inks have an unique chemical profile or signature which does not permit the levels of laser light absorption necessary to actually remove the coloring.

Health Risks Of Laser Tattoo Removal. Local anesthetic is used to numb your tattoo treatment area. Only one section of your tattoo is treated at each session. You'll need 1 to 2 months before your next treatment in order to heal. Could you get infections, or not heal properly? Of course. And what about mixed results, where the tattoo more-or-less is gone, yet your skin pigmentation has been damaged? Yes, skin pigmentation

Zodiac Symbol Tattoos

Have you ever given any thought to zodiac symbols when you've been browsing through catalogues of tattoos? There are 12 signs of the zodiac and you will definitely be one of them.Just select your birth date to see which sign you come under.Aries = begins 21st March- ends 20th AprilTaurus = begins 21st April - ends 21st MayGemini= begins 22nd May - ends 21st JuneCancer = begins 22nd June- ends 22nd JulyLeo = begins 23rd July- ends 23rd AugustVirgo = begins 24th August- ends 22nd SeptemberLibra = begins 23rd September -ends 23rd OctoberScorpio = begins 24th October- ends 22nd NovemberSagittarius = begins 23rd November- ends 21st DecemberCapricorn = begins 22nd December- ends 20th JanuaryAquarius = begins 21st January ends- 18th FebruaryPisces = begins 19th February ends- 20th March.

If you are on the cusp of any sign, as an astrologer would say (meaning for example that your birthday is 2oth April...are you then an Arian or a Taurean?) you may need to actively seek out an astrologer to find out exactly which sign you come under. They'll definitely be able to tell you as they have charts going back years and years as to the exact dates of the change over of the signs. Each sign of the zodiac carries with it specific traits etc and although horoscopes and astrology phone lines are popular entertainment; the science of astrology is quite complex and revered by many prominent people.Certainly if you believe in things like' every thing happens for reason' then you'll also believe that we were born at a certain time for a reason and therefore under a specific star sign.Tattoo fads and fashions come and go, so I always think it's best to have a tattoo that can't ever cease to be relevant and yet will always say something about you.A lover's name or the date of a marriage may change or be regretted, but your birth date and hence your star sign will never change.Look up the symbol for your sign; they are quite unique and individualistic as a choice for a tattoo.
